  • Library Consultations regarding information literacy and research.
  • Writing and Speaking Center consultation regarding writing and presentation skills.

Student Services

Students get individual help in career exploration, advise and critique on resumes, cover letters, and assistance in determining job objectives. Extra-curricular events are designed to provide students with an opportunity to expand their horizons outside the classroom, socialize with fellow students, and establish a long-lasting network of contacts that will be adding value to students’ lives long after graduation.

Housing

The Department of Student Services assists student with renting affordable shared apartments in the City of Alameda. In addition, the Department posts notices about current rental options on a housing board in the University and refers students to various temporary accommodations. Although we cannot guarantee availability of the specific accommodation a student may prefer, we encourage you to contact us at housing@lincolnuca.edu. We will do our best to provide you with good quality, convenient, and affordable options.

Student Government

Elected annually by the student body, Lincoln University Student Association (LUSA) focuses on all issues related to the self-governance and University life. It presents an exciting opportunity for ambitious students to developing leadership and organizational skills, while working towards serving the community of friends and peers. From organizing events, student clubs, and activities to promoting an atmosphere of inclusion and excellence, LUSA is an indispensable and respected voice in the Lincoln community.

Events

Academic events emphasize the development of students’ knowledge and expertise. Lectures on various specialized and general interest topics support the academic curriculum and give students an opportunity to expand their horizons.

Social events help to expand the students’ network of contacts and allowing them to experience the rich culture of San Francisco Bay Area. From the annual trip to Lake Tahoe and graduation cruise around the Bay, to Lincoln Olympics and tours of San Francisco, social events bring students and faculty together offering a friendly environment to exchange ideas and perspectives.

Student Athletics

Lincoln University provides students with the opportunity to pursue a college education while actively participating in intercollegiate athletics. The University’s athletic programs support student engagement, leadership development, teamwork, and personal discipline—key factors that contribute to student success and persistence. Since Fall 2021, the Athletic Department has supported Men’s and Women’s Basketball; Men’s and Women’s Soccer and the Football program that is currently inactive.

Participation in athletics promotes a sense of belonging and community among students, reinforcing time management skills, accountability, and leadership qualities that complement academic achievement. Student-athletes are expected to maintain academic progress while representing the University with integrity, aligning with Lincoln University’s educational mission and student success goals.
The Athletic Department is led by Athletic Director Mr. Desmond Gumbs (dgumbs@lincolnuca.edu).
